Woodland Tomato Festival |
Come celebrate the Woodland Tomato Festival! This event is fun, free, and open to the public. Held annually at Freeman Park in Downtown Woodland, just 25 minutes from Sacramento.
Salsa contest, Tomato tosses, Tomato variety tasting, Tomato clothing- it's a tomato explosion! Bounce houses, arts & crafts, fair food vendors and live entertainment make this a family friendly "stay-cation". Free and open to the public.

Treasure Trove Of Gems Show |
The Gem, Jewelry, and Mineral Show will feature world class and internationally renowned gem, mineral, jewelry, and fossil dealers. There will be demonstrations and exhibits by area gem & mineral societies. Also including kid’s activities, interactive family activities, gold panning, interesting and exotic rock, gem, and jewelry displays as well as earth science presentations & educational opportunities in jewelry-making and the lapidary arts. The highlight of the two-day event will be a grand prize drawing, where one lucky winner will walk away with an actual treasure chest containing thousands of dollars in fine jewelry, mineral specimens, and gemstone treasures.
Percentage of proceeds will benefit San Juan Jr. Spartans a local sports youth group.

Roles are plentiful, including three Cheshire Cats and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters.

Gaming for a Cause- Video Game Tournament |
Gaming for a Cause is a non profit organization created by Austin young, a Bella Vista High School senior who is battling cancer for the second time in his life. He holds local video game tournaments to raise money and awareness for the cancer houses that support families with children that are dealing with life threatening diseases.
Call of Duty - Black Ops tournament every second Saturday at Fuddruckers starting February11, 2012, Entry is $20, proceeds go to the Koret family house at UCSF.
